Who are we

The Shaman Ski Company is the only ski company from Finland that produces skis with steel edges. Skis are designed at the Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi, Finland. Our skis are made at one of the most modern ski factories in the world, located in Europe. The facility is the birth place for many famous ski brands from all over the world.

The founders of the Shaman Ski Company are Mr Sami Mustonen and Mr Lauri Kolomainen. Mustonen won the Olympic bronze medal at the Nagano Olympic Games in 1998. Additionally, he received two World Championships medals in 1999 and 2005. He has more than 150 World Cup starts and multiple World Cup victories and podiums under his belt and more than ten years of experience as one of the top mogul skiers in the world. He finished his athletic career in 2007. After retirement, Mustonen worked as a freestyle coach for seven years to people all the way from a club level to the World Cup level.

Lauri Kolomainen is a long-term freestyle professional, too. A member of the National Team Finland in the early years of 21st century, his athletic career ended due to a bad knee injury quite early in the game. With a great passion for skiing, he has a long coaching career and is currently the Head Coach of the National Mogul Team Finland.

Shaman makes World Cup-level freestyle mogul skis with all mountain riding features for adults, children and juniors. Skis are designed and tested by professional skiers, Olympic and World Champions. Shaman 98100 has showed its capabilities as one of the fastest mogul skis in the world. The totally new junior ski line was designed to keep an eye on their needs while they improve their skiing skills. The sidecut and flex of the junior skis are carefully made for their specific needs in learning proper carving turn skills.
